What is it?
The project helps young people to build positive relationships, confidence, self esteem and trust in each other and adults/providers/teachers. It provides more positive "hands on" activities to engage them with people who understand their needs and can inspire them. It gives them a rare opportunity to experience positive social activities in safe settings with understanding and caring staff. Their emotional and physical health and well-being will be improved and raise aspirations, improving motivation and hopefully reducing self harm.
Who is it for?
Young people that are particularly hard to reach and suffer from a range of complex social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. They have little or no opportunity to take part in positive mainstream activities due to their circumstances.
Who provides it?
We work in partnership with Bolton PRU who work with the most vulnerable young people across the borough who are not able to access mainstream education. All staff are trained and facilities are specifically designed to meet the needs of these young people. The project is funded by the Big Lottery Fund.
