We offer a range of group work interventions based on pre-written programmes.

This may include:

  • circle of friends
  • transition
  • social skills
  • concentration skills
  • listening skills

Alternatively, the group work can be planned specifically for the issues of a particular group. Often we may combine elements from different programmes tailoring them to individual groups.

Groups usually number between 4 and 6 children, role models are important in demonstrating desired behaviour and appropriate responses to targeted children.

School should get permission from all parents for children to be included in group work, but detailed data is not held on group members if they are not direct referrals.

Group interventions usually involve six to eight sessions lasting approximately 30 minutes to an hour dependant on age and ability of the group.

AQA Awards can be achieved in some of the interventions!
